Heiress set for 2007 MTV Style Gala...


Paris will make her Chinese debut at the 2007 MTV Style Gala on Nov. 23 at Shanghai’s Grand Stage.


The event is jointly run by MTV Networks China, Shanghai Media Group and state-run channel CCTV 6 and will include celebrities from mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, including Liu Ye, Shin and Vicki Zhao.


Kudocast, which presents awards including most stylish actor/actress, will be taped before a live audience of more than 10,000 fans and be made available to some 1 billion viewers via MTV China, SMG’s OTV and CCTV 6 in December.

Money making machine Paris Hilton is going to launch a new watch line through Parlux International. Parlux is the same company that manufactures and distributes Paris Hilton Fragrances.


The company has decided to extend the 'Paris Hilton' range because her brand has proven to be so successful.


Chairman IIia Lekach said that Paris 'has established herself as an American cultural icon with a remarkable international following.'


Is there anything that Paris hasn't done yet? She's got perfume, clothing, hair extension, and now watches. Talk about world domination.

A barrage of flashing cameras greeted hotel heiress and American celebrity Paris Hilton when she attended her first press conference in Seoul, Friday.


Hilton, who is currently in Seoul for a promotional tour sponsored by sportswear brand Fila Korea, smiled and showed off her trademark pose for photographers and cameramen at the Grand Hyatt Hotel.


With her upswept blonde hair and glowing tan, Hilton wore a gold puffer vest, hot pink track jacket, gray tank top and purple track pants. Everything she wore, except for a pink Chanel purse, was from Fila's collection, which she is endorsing.


The 27-year old fashionista, who is often seen wearing high-end designer brands, declared she loves the Fila brand. ``I love Fila. Girls who wear Fila have great style too. I love to mix the colors. The Fila brand comes in all different colors, so I can mix and match them. My favorite color is pink, so I wore this today,'' she said.


This is her first time in Korea, so she gushed about the beautiful Korean scenery. Hilton also said she loved bibimbap and would like to eat more of it during her trip.


``I love everything about Korea. People are amazing. I look forward to coming here more often. I wish I had more time here. I'd love to see the Korean palaces, architecture and old streets,'' she said.


Hilton, an heiress to the Hilton Hotel fortune, sees Korea as a great market for her brand. ``My fashion line is also coming out, which is clothing, outerwear, shoes, purses and jewelry. Also next is real estate, like hotels and restaurants. I try to be as professional as possible. I'm very excited to be in Korea. This is a great market for me. I'm happy to be here right now,'' she said.


As for her acting roles, Hilton said she appears in the romantic comedy ``The Hottie and the Naughty'' to be released in February. She also just finished shooting ``Repo: The Genetic Opera,'' and is developing another TV show.


When asked how she feels about the paparazzi following her every move, Hilton said she understands the photographers are only doing their job. ``I respect that. I can't complain about it. I love my life and I don't let it bother me,'' she said.


On Thursday, Hilton filmed scenes for her guest appearance on the popular MBC show ``Reckless Challenge'' (Muhandojeon) at the Korea House in Pil-dong. She said she wore a ``gorgeous Korean wedding dress'' (hanbok) for the show.

Hilton's one-year contract with Fila Korea is reportedly worth $1 million. Fila chose Hilton as its model last March because of her sexy, fashionable image. However, her ads were temporarily pulled last June, when she was sentenced to a 45-day jail term on a drunk driving charge.


Fila was originally established as an Italian company in 1911, but is now owned by Fila Korea

Hallmark has responded to Paris Hilton's lawsuit claiming they used her image to sell cards with a motion to dismiss, TMZ reported on Thursday.

The motion says, "Hilton has become a household name, based in large part on her efforts to draw attention to herself. Having done so, she has subjected herself to public scrutiny and the parodist's pen. The First Amendment does not allow her to respond by welcoming the fawning and flattering, but silencing the critical and comical."


In September, Hilton sued over the use of her picture and trademarked catchphrase "That's hot" on a greeting card. Hilton sued Hallmark Cards Inc. in U.S. District Court seeking an injunction and unspecified damages to be determined at trial.


According to the lawsuit, the card is titled "Paris's First Day as a Waitress" and shows a photo of Hilton's face on a cartoon of a waitress serving a plate of food to a patron. In a dialogue bubble she says, "Don't touch that, it's hot." The customer cartoon asks, "What's hot?" She answers, "That's hot."


The suit says Hilton owns the trademark "That's hot," which was registered on Feb. 13.


The lawsuit claims commercial appropriation of identity, invasion of privacy, misappropriation of publicity, false representation that Hilton endorses the product and infringement of a federally registered trademark. The damages would be based on profits from the $2.49 cards, Hilton attorney Brent Blakely said.


Hallmark defended the card as parody, which normally is protected under fair-use law.


"Some of Hallmark's new humor greeting cards are parodies of today's most popular celebrities and politicians," said Hallmark spokeswoman Julie O'Dell in an e-mailed statement.


"These cards take a satirical look at news and gossip surrounding these public figures, including Paris Hilton, and we do not believe Hallmark has violated any of Ms. Hilton's rights."

Heiress launches campaign to save animals addicted to rice beer! (What?? lol)

Paris Hilton has launched a campaign to help save Indian elephants addicted to booze.


The animals have unfortunately developed a liking for rice beer, which is brewed by local villagers.


And Paris, 26, is hoping to raise awareness of the problem, after hearing about an incident in Meghalaya last week.


Six tipsy elephants were killed in a paddy field after coming into contact with a high-tension electric pole outside the Indian village of Chandan Nukat.


'There would have been more casualties if the villagers hadn't chased them away,' Paris tells the Daily Star.


'In Tinsukia, the elephants smashed huts, plundered granaries and broke open casks to drink rice beer. The herd then went berserk and killed people.


'And 4 elephants died in a similar way 3 years ago. It is just so sad. The biggest problems are in Assam and Meghalaya. The elephants are drunk all the time.


'It is becoming really dangerous. We need to stop making alcohol available to them.'


Reports that Paris is also planning to disband a drug cartel run by otters are yet to be confirmed.
